About Us

UNLOCK THE MIND MINISTRIES offers programing for returning citizens and their families. We are holistic, addressing the spiritual, emotional, social and economic needs of those impacted by incarceration.

Our organization is designed to educate and transition individuals struggling with addictions and other life-controlling self-defeating patterns of behaviors, into productive members of society through the power of Jesus Christ.

In-Prison Services

With over 50,000 in prisons and jails in Louisiana, this ministry is committed to providing spiritual and educational programing for the incarcerated. Presently we assist volunteers in state and parish prisons and several city jails.

Worship

We offer Sunday Worship Services at several of our correctional facilities in Louisiana.

Weekly Bible Study

We offer Weekly Bible Studies at several of our correctional facilities in Louisiana.

New Life Behavior Classes:

We facilitate a program utilizing a curriculum that promotes cognitive thinking and behavioral modification to impart new life skills for the entire family, generating positive results. A very effective vehicle to advance the Kingdom of God, reduce recidivism and curb crime. We are faith based, addressing issues like parenting, anger management and substance abuse.

Re-Entry Services

We provide re-entry services for any returning citizen after release from incarceration.

We help with obtaining necessary identification, driver’s license, social service referrals and job assistance.

Youth Services

Over 50% of the incarcerated have children under the age of 18 and the majority of the children live in poverty. (Future plans)

We hope to collect and purchase Christmas gifts for children of the incarcerated and provide scholarships to encourage children impacted by incarceration.
